Trick training is similar to obedience training, except the commands don’t necessarily have a practical function.

Although tricks aren’t often useful in daily life, the training itself offers many benefits. Firstly, it invariably strengthens the relationship between you and your dog by cultivating your dog’s respect for you. The training also stimulates your dog’s mind and can tire it out as much as a walk can. Lastly, you’ll find that the classes are lots of fun!

As well as equipping your dog with some entertaining party tricks, trick training is a wonderful way to practice your own handling and coordination skills. Many dog owners find it builds their confidence when handling their dog and completely unrelated life situations.
